Here are instructions on changing the save location of the Zinio Downloader of your digital magazines. This also changes the Zinio Reader path to where it picks up the magazine to read.
*** For experience users who do not need the step-by-step instructions ***

(HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Zinio/Reader/Preferences/MyMagsDir/M:\eBooks\Zinio)
This applies to all Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7, Windows 2003, Windows 2008 all editions.

Goto click "start" at the bottom left of your screen/taskbar

Then click "run" and type "regedit", click "ok" (for Windows Vista and Windows 7, your "run" button is not available by default. Therefore goto Start > All Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt. Then type "regedit" and press enter)

You will get a Windows that allows you to edit the windows registry (****** IMPORTANT NOTICE: FOLLOW THE STEPS EXACTLY AND DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING ACCEPT WHAT MY INSTRUCTIONS TELL YOU ****** PLEASE NOTE YOU ARE DOING THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK, ALTHOUGH IT IS FAIRLY EASY, DO NOT ATTEMPT IF ANY INFORMATION IS NOT MATCHING THE INSTRUCTIONS *****
- The Regedit window looks like a windows explorer windows. Following from the left side look for "HKEY_CURRENT_USER" and click on the "+" beside it to expand
- Then look for "Software" and click "+" (under "HKEY_CURRENT_USER) tree/directory
- Then look for "Zinio" and click "+" (under "Software" which is under "HKEY_CURRENT_USER)
- Now look for "Reader" and click on the "+" (under the "Zinio" etc)
- You will see a folder called "Preference", click on this folder and you will see a bunch of settings on the right side of the window
- On the right window, look for "Last File" and double click on it
- Under the "Value data", type in your new path -- for example I have a (M:\) drive with an ebook folder so this is what I would enter: "M:\eBooks\Zinio" (without the quotes) *** make sure you create the folder first before or that it exists before typing in the path. When you are done click "ok"
- Now double click on "MyMagsDir" and in the "Value data" type in the path as you did "Last File"
- Then click the "x" at the top right of the window to close regedt. (Your settings will auto save upon exit)
That's it, now run your Zinio downloader from All programs > Zinio >check for new deliveries"
